🦄 What We’re Working On: We’re officially in the Antler portfolio!
💡 What We’ve Learned: Focus on the problem, not the solution.
📓 What We’re Reading (and Listening To): The secondhand market is big, and it’s growing.
🪩 What’s Happening: Networking and closet sales!
🏄♀️ What’s Next: Beta testing and Brat Girl Summer.
What We’ve Been Working On:
We are stoked to announce that we are officially an Antler portfolio company! We could not be more excited, and grateful, to be on this journey with Antler’s support behind us and mentorship to guide us.
As we continue working hard to bring Cache to life with all the bells and whistles, we are focused on building #community across our social channels. Follow us on Instagram and TikTok for an inside look as Cache evolves.
We attended local influencer, Nitsan Raiter’s closet sale and got the chance to mingle with other resale-obsessed girlies. We also had the opportunity to meet Paige Cey, founder of Benny (and fellow Dream Ventures Accelerator grad)!

What We’ve Learned:
We had the privilege of hearing Uri Levine, Co-Founder of Waze, speak about his founder journey. His main message to founders is simple: “Focus on the problem, not the solution.” For Uri, this was his passionate disdain for traffic. In addition, part of being a founder involves making important decisions. Levine’s mindset was refreshing. In his view, “there are right decisions, and there are no decisions. If you are unhappy with the results, make a new decision.”

What We’re Reading (and Listening To):
“Fashion and apparel” ranks second among the top online shopping categories: According to Statista, the category accounts for $760 billion in worldwide e-commerce revenue. We are certain that secondhand will only continue to grow as an increasingly large percentage of that total.
Your old clothes are worth billions (tell us something we don’t know 😉): The Wall Street Journal reports that, on average, Americans throw away ~70 pounds of clothes per year. ThredUp research estimates that the market for secondhand apparel—already hovering around $43 billion in the United States—could grow around 11% per year on average through 2028. Despite its already sizeable presence and projected growth, the market is fragmented. 74% of thrift stores are being independently run and amongst larger players such as The RealReal, Goodwill, ThredUp, and Poshmark, the race to win market share and achieve profitability remains.
Show up where your customers do not expect to see you: According to Maggie Sellers, founder of Hot Smart Rich, we are in the attention economy. As a consumer brand, you need to capture attention. Don’t train your customers to expect your roadmap for launches. “Humans like a little drama, so you have to create that drama for them.” Tune in to the full episode to hear Maggie share more on this topic and others.
